Behind the notebook

Hi, I’m Mahmoud.

I’m interested in how good engineering decisions make complex systems easier to understand and maintain.

Why I write

This site is a place to document technical work, explain the reasoning behind architecture decisions, and share what I learn along the way.

I care about concrete examples, readable code, and honest tradeoffs. A useful explanation should make the next decision easier.

How I approach engineering

Start with the problem. Choose the simplest solution that addresses it. Add complexity when a real need appears, and make the reasoning explicit.

A note on writing and AI

English is not my native language. I occasionally use AI tools to improve wording, grammar, and the structure of my writing. The technical experience, implementations, and architecture decisions described here are my own.
